Souvenir Picture Packs

For the 2009 / 2010 season we have commissioned a brand new Souvenir Booklet in which to present our pictures of your school, it's surroundings and the children: it is entitled: "All About Helicopters".

The booklet contains 16 pages of information, puzzles and more fun ways for children to learn all about helicopters. There is a history of helicopters, information on how they fly, an introduction to reading maps with games, quizzes and activities all based around the helicopter.

The booklet is a fun and informative way for school children to read and learn about helicopters and additional aspects of aviation.

Resources & Support Material

In 1989, The Cabair Group founded their "Heliphotos" division, to provide aerial photos of schools for National Curriculum geography requirements.

Although so much has changed since then, the company has always worked closely with professional education consultants to provide schools with relevant and up to date classroom support materials of the highest standard.

Literacy Hour

Each year group is supplied with its own large pages of the "Big Book" which contains stimulating helicopter-related reading materials. Teacher's notes are also included.

"...May I also congratulate you on the excellent support materials that you provided to accompany the visit. The whole experience was one which I would thoroughly recommend to other schools.”
Boney Hay Primary School

Teacher's Resource Pack

This latest edition sets the children problems directly related to the operations of a helicopter company. It covers scale and measurement of maps, fuel consumption and flight-planning. Some real teasers in here, but it will provide a great sense of achievement, particularly amongst the older children. Other resources featuring exercises in science, technology, geography and art, make up 52 pages of useful material for Key Stages 1 and 2. Teacher notes are also included.

Geography

Each school is also provided with a set of tailor made aerial photographs of your local area.

Helicopter Board Game

The centre pages of the booklet contain a brand new Helicopter Board game designed especially for this Booklet and involves up to four players collecting and dropping off various items such as passengers, patients, soldiers and heavy goods. Both educational and fun.
